Prime evidenze sull'andamento del secondo trimestre e del primo semestre 2016

EBITDA* secondo trimestre superiore a 40 milioni

Miglioramento EBITDA* primo semestre è oltre il 90% dell'incremento atteso per l'anno

Milano, 07 luglio 2016 - Al fine di fornire al mercato un quadro aggiornato dell'avanzamento del Piano 2016- 2018 del Gruppo RCS, anche in relazione alle offerte pubbliche attualmente in corso, il Consiglio di Amministrazione di RCS MediaGroup - riunitosi in data odierna - è stato aggiornato in merito alle prime evidenze sull'andamento del secondo trimestre e del primo semestre 2016*.

Si stima che nel primo semestre 2016 l'EBITDA* sia pari a oltre 37 milioni di Euro rispetto agli 11,7 del pari periodo 2015, superando il 90% del miglioramento previsto per l'intero anno corrente. Nel semestre si stimano oneri non ricorrenti, inclusi quelli relativi alle offerte pubbliche in corso, per un ammontare significativamente inferiore rispetto al pari periodo 2015.

Si ricorda che per l'anno è atteso un miglioramento dell'EBITDA* pari a 28,2 milioni Euro, passando da 71,8 del 2015 ai circa 100 milioni attesi a fine 2016. Il primo trimestre dell'anno ha registrato un miglioramento dell'EBITDA* pari a 12,1 milioni, passando dai -15,5 milioni del primo trimestre 2015 a -3,4 milioni. Anche il secondo trimestre 2016 conferma il trend positivo superando i 40 milioni ed evidenziando un miglioramento di oltre 13 milioni rispetto al pari periodo 2015 (27,2 milioni).

Initial bits of evidence for the second quarter and first half of 2016

Second quarter EBITDA* above EUR 40 million

In first half EBITDA* improvement accounts for 90% of expected annual increase

Milan, 7 July 2016 - In order to provide the market with an up-to-date view of the progress made on RCS Group's 2016-2018 Plan, also in relation to the ongoing public offers, the Board of Directors of RCS MediaGroup – in a meeting today – was updated on the initial bits of evidence for the second quarter and first half of 2016*.

EBITDA in the first half of 2016 is estimated over EUR 37 million, compared to EUR 11.7 million in the same period of 2015, accounting for over 90% of the expected improvement for the full year.

The amount of the non recurring charges in the first semester 2016 including those related to the pending tender offer is expected to be significantly lower to the corresponding amount in the first semester 2016.

EBITDA was forecast to improve by EUR 28.2 million over the year, from EUR 71.8 million in 2015 to around EUR 100 million forecast at the end of 2016. The first quarter of 2016 saw an improvement of EBITDA of EUR 12.1 million, from EUR -15.5 million in first quarter 2015 to EUR -3.4 million. The second quarter of 2016 continued this positive trend, with EBITDA exceeding EUR 40 million, up by over EUR 13 million compared to the same period of 2015 (EUR 27.2 million).
