PRESS RELEASE - STOCKHOLM, MAY 3, 2010

RaySearch and Varian Medical Systems expand strategic collaboration

RaySearch Laboratories AB (publ) announces today that the license agreement with Varian Medical Systems has been restructured to add one new product, strengthen the collaborative product development efforts, and make it easier to add new capabilities and features to Varian's Eclipse™ treatment planning system. Eclipse software currently incorporates three RaySearch developments, including tools for biological evaluation, biological optimization, and conformal optimization.

"Varian is an innovative partner and also the leader in the radiation therapy industry, so it is of great importance to RaySearch that we continue to strengthen our collaboration. Extending the partnership to include more development is a very positive step forward," said Johan Löf, CEO of RaySearch. "We are proud to contribute toward the continued success of Eclipse."

"This agreement reaffirms our commitment to this partnership. We are very pleased with the RaySearch technologies already integrated with Eclipse, and are eager to work with them to rapidly bring additional planning capabilities to our customers," said Jeff Amacker, director of clinical solutions for Varian.
