Background:

Mr. Narayan is an entrepreneur whose strength and interest lie at the four-way intersection of storytelling, teambuilding, analytics, and innovation.

A serial entrepreneur, he founded and ran Unmetric, a social media analytics company that works with the world’s largest brands and agencies. In 2019, Cision, Inc. acquired Unmetric. Lux advises a few startups and nonprofits.

Lakshmanan, aka Lux Narayan loves the seas, skies and mountains, and is a certified student pilot, scuba diver, and an avid hiker. Among other things, his adult sons share his love for adventure.

His talk at TED’s Main Stage on “Lessons from 2000 obituaries” was viewed millions of times, featured on the TED homepage, and on NPR’s TED radio hour with Guy Raz. A fan of comedy, he is a student of improve and standup comedy and performed twice at the Comedy Cellar in New York.

He divides his time between Basking Ridge, New Jersey and Chennai & Shillong in India.
