The securities of Valence Industries Limited (the “Company”) will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of commencement of normal trading on Thursday, 18 September 2014, or when the announcement is released to the market.

Valence Industries Ltd ( Valence ) (ASX: VXL and VXLO) hereby requests a trading halt to be placed on its securities from the commencement of trading on Tuesday 16 September 2014.

In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1, the Company advises that:

• (a) the trading halt is requested pending the release of an announcement in relation to a capital raising;

• (b) the Company requests that securities remain in trading halt until the earlier of the announcement to the market or the commencement of trade on Thursday, 18 September 2014; and

• (c) the Company is not aware of any reasons why the trading halt should not be granted or of any other information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.
