VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF SCIENTIST

This announcement is made by Quantgroup Holding Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries and consolidated affiliated entities, the "Group") on a voluntary basis.

The board of directors (the "Board") of the Company is pleased to announce that, Professor. Xu Dong ("Prof. XU") has been appointed as the chief scientist of the Company with effect from March 13, 2026. In this role, Prof. Xu will be responsible for providing professional technical consulting and leads project development for the Group.

Prof. Xu is currently a Professor at the School of Computing and Data Science at The University of Hong Kong. He also worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University, an assistant professor and tenured associate professor at Nanyang Technological University, and a professor of The University of Sydney.

Prof. Xu has made significant contributions to the fields of computer vision, multimedia signal processing, and machine learning. He is currently a senior associate editor of ACM Computing Surveys (CSUR), a foreign member of the Academia Europaea and a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and International Association For Pattern Recognition (IAPR). He was named as a Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher in both 2018 and 2021.

Prof. Xu was also on the editorial boards of multiple prestigious academic journals, including T-PAMI, T-IP, T-NNLS, T-CSVT and T-MM, and served as a guest editor of more than ten other international journals such as International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV). He served as the programme coordinator of ACM Multimedia 2024, a steering committee member of the Visual and Learning Seminar (VALSE) and the IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (ICME). He was also the program co-Chair of five international conferences (e.g., the IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo 2014), and area chair for major conferences such as the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), the IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV), and the IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR).

Prof. Xu received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in 2001 and his Doctoral degree in 2005 from the University of Science and Technology of China.
