Share Buyback Programme

QinetiQ Group plc (the 'Company') announces that today it has purchased for cancellation from Merrill Lynch International the following number of its ordinary shares of one pence each ('Shares'):

Number of Shares purchased:	345,147
Average price paid per Share (pence):	223.7921
Highest price paid per Share (pence):	225.5
Lowest price paid per Share (pence):	218.5

The Company holds no Shares in treasury. 

Upon settlement of the above transaction, the Company will have 584,372,053 Shares in issue.  This figure represents the total number of voting rights in the Company and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules.
