PVA TePla AG: New head of Plasma Systems division appointed

The division that Dr.-Ing. Christian Schaefer shall now be heading was managed by the CEO of PVA TePla AG, Mr. Peter Abel, during the intervening period since the retirement of Mr. Martin Gier in August last year. After graduating from RWTH Aachen University and subsequently gaining his doctorate in Materials Management, Dr. Christian Schaefer held leading positions in a number of industrial companies within the Leybold Group and the EV Group (EVG) which is one of the market leader for wafer processing equipment. CEO Peter Abel is full of expectation, saying that “By recruiting Dr. Schaefer to head our Plasma Systems division, we have attracted a person with many years’ experience in precision plant construction for the semiconductor, MEMS, displays and high-brightness LED industries, as well as in life sciences.
