EXPLANATORY NOTE

Purple Biotech Ltd. (the "Company" or the "Registrant") is filing this Amendment No. 1 to amend its Report on Form 6-K furnished with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") on June 15, 2023 (the "Original Report"). On June 15, 2023, the Company announced the results of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of the Company held on June 15, 2023. This Amendment No. 1 is being filed solely for the purpose of updating the "Incorporation by Reference" disclosure included in the Original Report, which inadvertently omitted to incorporate by reference into the Original Report the Registrant's Registration Statement on Form F-3, as amended, originally filed with the SEC on December 8, 2022 (Registration file number 333-268710).
