PSI Incontrol awarded Contract for Kuala Lumpur Monorail
Complete Communication Package for Fleet Expansion Project

PSI Incontrol, Malaysia, a member of the PSI group of companies has been
contracted by Scomi Rail Berhad (SRB) with the delivery of a complete
communication package for the Kuala Lumpur Monorail Fleet Expansion Project
(KLMFEP) on a turnkey basis. The project has been awarded to SRB on 3
January 2011 by the Malaysian Government i.e. Syarikat Prasarana Negara
Berhad (SPNB).

SRB will supply 48 monorail passenger train cars as well as upgrading work
on current station platforms, power supply and distribution, communication
and signalling systems. For the additional vehicles, a new depot will also
be build in the course of the KLMFEP project.

PSI Incontrol will deliver the complete communication package for both the
rolling stock and the wayside equipment. The first train will run by June
2012 which is also the date for the completion of PSI Incontrol's scope of
supply. The communication package encompasses a digital transmission
system, an upgrade for the existing PABX, real-time passenger information,
CCTV surveillance, SCADA system and a wireless network along the track.

The KLMFEP order is a renewed mandate from SRB to PSI Incontrol after the
successful implementation of Mumbai Monorail rolling stock communication
system. With this contract, PSI group is strengthening its position in the
important rail system market in Southeast Asia.
