PSI wins major contract from Swiss Post
Integrated transport management system for PostLogistics

Swiss Post commissioned PSI subsidiary PSI Logistics GmbH to supply an
integrated transport management system for its PostLogistics division,
using standard products such as PSItms for transport management and
PSIglobal for managing logistics networks. The project volume awarded to
PSI is worth mid single-digit millions.

The integrated transport management system of PSI Logistics enables Swiss
Post to perform transport management, planning and execution using dynamic
transport processes. The focus here is on optimising the utilisation of
transport resources, improving the ability to react to changes in order
volumes at short notice and increasing flexibility when responding to
rapidly changing service locations. PostLogistics will thus be able to
react even faster and more flexibly to changes in transport orders of up to
52,000 per day.

PSI Logistics models order management, transport management, planning and
transport execution processes including telematics solutions and transport
completion on the basis of flexibly configurable regulations and process
definitions that enable transport structures and processes to be more
dynamic and optimised in future.

By means of a comprehensive list of criteria, PSI Logistics was able to
assert itself against major international enterprises in the tender process
of Swiss Post, which was in line with the WTO.

oil, heat, water), cross-company production management (metals, automotive,
mechanical and plant engineering, mining, logistics) and infrastructure
