The issuer has the sole responsibility of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Announcement in accordance with § 15 of the German Securities Trading Act ProSiebenSat.1 Group achieves revenues of Euro 514 million in the first quarter of 2001 Munich/Germany, April 18, 2001. Based on preliminary calculations, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group achieved group revenues totaling Euro 513.7 million in the first quarter of 2001. The pro forma value in the same period last year amounted to Euro 525.7 million. The slight decrease in revenues, which amounted to two percent, is mainly attributable to the business development in the television area, which was affected by a difficult advertising climate in the first two months of 2001. While the ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s TV stations closed the month of March with a combined revenue increase of four percent compared to March 2000, the TV network recorded a single digit percent decrease in revenues for the first two months of 2001. In view of the rather muted outlook for the German economy, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group anticipates net growth of up to four percent in the television advertising market for the year 2001 as a whole. From the start, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s business plans have projected to realize revenue growth mainly in the second half of 2001. For the first six months of the year, the company expects its revenue performance to fall slightly below the pro forma values recorded for the same period last year. It is estimated that the demand for television advertising bookings will increase substantially from June onward. The preliminary quarterly results for the first three months of 2001 will be published on April 24, 2001.
