ASX ANNOUNCEMENT / MEDIA RELEASE

ASX: PRX

29 May 2024

Northern Territory Government Announces Update on the Resourcing the Territory Program at Prodigy Gold’s Darwin Office

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Prodigy Gold had the honour to host the Northern Territory Chief Minister, Hon Eva Lawler and the Minister for Mining, Hon Mark Monaghan in Prodigy Gold’s Darwin office who announced an update to the Resourcing the Territory Program today.

  • The government is working with the mining industry in the NT through the investment of $9.5 million a year through the Resourcing the Territory program

  • This is the same program that Prodigy Gold successful accessed in 2023 supporting the drilling of a deep diamond hole into Tregony, and the completion of a detailed ground gravity geophysical survey over a large portion of the Tanami North Project area

Prodigy Gold NL (ASX: PRX) (“Prodigy Gold” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the Company hosted both the Northern Territory Chief Minister, the Hon Eva Lawler, and the Mining Minister, the Hon Mark Monaghan, in our Darwin office today where they provided an update on the next round of the Resourcing the Territory program. This is the same program that granted Prodigy Gold support for exploration activities over the last few years, allowing opportunities to complete additional exploration works that may not have been completed at all or at a similar scale without the support of the NT Governments program. As an example, in 2023, Prodigy Gold received a grant enabling the Company to complete a detailed ground gravity survey covering most of the Suplejack Shear Zone in the Tanami North project area which is a strategically important project for the Company. The results of this geophysical program are now used in the evaluation of Prodigy Gold’s existing targets and will potentially generate new exploration targets and project areas.

Prodigy Gold is very supportive of the Resourcing the Territory program and will continue to work with the NT Government to access grants through this funding into the future. The Company looks forward to the announcement of the Round 17 grants in the near future.

Quotes attributable to Chief Minister Eva Lawler:

We’re backing the industries that get the Territory working which means investing in growing the mining and resources industry.

The Territory has a huge opportunity to power the world for decades to come through natural gas and critical mineral exports – both critical to supplying future global power demands.

Backing the mining and resources industry means thousands more work opportunities for Territorians.”

Quotes attributed to Minister for Mining, Mark Monaghan:

“Through initiatives, such as our $9.5 million per year Resourcing the Territory program, we have been promoting the Northern Territory’s geological potential for critical minerals, and industry is actively recognising the Territory’s potential.

We know the value of this program – this is why we brought it in six years ago. And now an independent evaluation is telling us just how crucial it is to attracting further investment and helping companies do their job.”

Quotes attributed to Prodigy Gold’s Managing Director, Mark Edwards:

“Prodigy Gold is a proud Northern Territory focused exploration company, and through the support of the Territory Government we have been able to complete several detailed exploration programs in the Tanami Region, such as the deep diamond hole into the Tregony deposit and the detailed ground gravity program covering the Tanami North project area.

It is through this type of government support and investment that exploration companies like Prodigy Gold can advance their understanding of the potential for new discoveries that will go on to support the whole of the Territory.”
