ITEM 5.02(b) DEPARTURE OF CERTAIN OFFICERS

On March 9, 2009, The Procter & Gamble Company (the “Company”) announced that Susan E. Arnold will leave her current position as President – Global Business Units effective March 9, 2009, in anticipation of retiring from the Company on September 1, 2009.

The Company is filing this 8-K pursuant to Item 5.02(b), "Departure of Certain Officers."
