DTG selects storage environment from Proact

DTG (formerly De Telefoongids telephone book and Gouden Gids yellow pages) has just signed an agreement with Proact for the supply, implementation and support of a new storage environment. This will give DTG the flexibility to cope with the growth of data and performance over the next five years.

DTG wanted to consolidate its existing data storage environments into one platform. One important factor for the success of this is the performance and availability of the new online applications on a solid platform. The complete solution that Proact is delivering consists of a NetApp environment equipped with several tiers consisting of Fusion I/O, SSD, SAS and SATA.

"Previously DTG used various storage solutions, including a NetApp 3020/3050. The choice of the NetApp is largely determined by our good experience with this equipment in the past and the possibility of porting administrative routines for our core applications directly."
