Pro Medicus appoints Leigh Farrell as Director

Leading e-health company Pro Medicus Limited [ASX: PME] today announced the appointment of Dr Leigh Farrell as a Non- Executive Director, effective 8 September 2017.

As the business continues to grow and a range of diverse opportunities are presented to the company, the Board decided that it was appropriate to seek to appoint a new Non-Executive Director with additional and complementary skills. The Board, with the assistance of an Executive Search firm, conducted an extensive search to identify suitable candidates. Today’s announcement is the culmination of that process.

Dr Farrell, who holds a PhD in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Monash University, is currently Vice President Corporate Strategy & Business Development for Certara USA Inc. Prior to his current position he was Chairman and COO of d3 Medicine, LLC which was acquired by Certara in 2016.

Dr Farrell has extensive international experience in the areas of corporate strategy, joint ventures, intellectual property strategy, business development and licencing as well as having worked for a range of biotechnology, pharmaceutical companies, universities and corporate advisory consultancy practices.
