APPOINTMENT AND RESIGNATION OF INDEPENDENT DIRECTORS

CI Resources Limited (ASX code: CII) today announces the appointments of Mr Adrian Gurgone as a Non Executive Independent Director, Mr Lip Jen Tee as a Non Executive Non Independent Director and the resignation of Mr Siak Yeong Phua as a Non Executive Non Independent Director effective from today.

Siak Yeong has been a director since November 2008 and is an Executive Director of Phosphate Resources Limited (“PRL”). For the purposes of the ASX Listing Rules, PRL is deemed to be a “child entity” of the Company and the Board of the Company has determined that Siak Yeong no longer meets the criteria as an independent director due to his directorship with PRL. The Board wishes to thank Siak Yeong for his contribution to the Company.

Adrian is an experienced Chartered Accountant and MBA with significant experience in reporting to boards. In senior roles with Deloitte Consulting and other top tier-consulting firms, he has advised multinational and mid-cap organizations across a variety of industries globally. His experience encompasses financial and business analysis, risk management and corporate governance in a variety of industries including Mining and Resources, Education, Telecommunications, Services and Materials. He also lectures for a leading MBA program in finance and valuations. Adrian has also assisted several boards in Australia and overseas in improving organisational performance and in capital allocation.

Adrian is currently the Chairman for Fortis Consulting and the Chief Investment Officer for Fortis Capital. The Fortis Group provides boutique services, investments and advice to investors, boards and senior executives.

Lip Jen holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). Since graduating from Australia, Lip Jen started his career as a Process Engineer in the manufacturing industry for 2 years before expanding his experience as a Project Engineer in a refinery plant specialising in producing downstream palm oil products.

He is currently the Assistant Chief Engineer in charge of overseeing engineering and production activities in seven palm oil mills with an estimated production output of 350,000 metric tonnes of crude palm oil per year. Apart from managing the daily activities in palm oil mills, he is also in charge of overseeing three palm oil plantation estates located in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia with an estimated acreage of 3,400 acres.

Adrian and Lip Jen bring a wealth of experience to the Company and complements the existing Board members. We look forward to the roles that both of them will play in the further development of the Company.
