Primary Health Properties PLC ("PHP"), the UK's leading investor in modern primary healthcare facilities, announces that it has acquired a standing let investment property situated in Macclesfield.  The net consideration for the property will be £10.1 million (net assets acquired £10.1 million).

A wholly owned subsidiary of PHP has acquired New Alderley House, Macclesfield, a property comprising of 3,200m2 wholly let to East Cheshire NHS Trust and NHS Property Services for a remaining term of 16 years.  New Alderley House adjoins the Macclesfield District General Hospital campus and provides accommodation for a range of primary care services and NHS administration operations. 

This acquisition increases PHP's portfolio to a total of 295 assets, including one property in the Republic of Ireland, with a gross value of £1.2 billion.
