Transaction in own shares

The Company announces that it has purchased for cancellation (through Peel Hunt LLP acting as the Company's broker) the following number of its ordinary shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on the London Stock Exchange.

Number of shares purchased (aggregated volume):	113,000
Highest price paid per share (pence):	38.50p
Lowest price paid per share (pence):	38.13p
Volume weighted average price paid per share (pence):	38.46p

Following the purchase of these Ordinary Shares, the Company has now purchased 816,295 Ordinary Shares since the announcement of the share buyback programme on 22 December 2016. The Company's issued share capital now comprises 176,711,879 Ordinary Shares, of these 40,969 are held in Treasury; the total voting rights of the Company are 176,670,910 Ordinary Shares This figure may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
