Precise Biometrics Sees Great Potential in New Mobile Paradigm

The launch of fingerprint recognition on Apple's iPhone 5S is a key milestone in the fingerprint biometric industry. This offers great potential for Precise Biometrics' products.

Thomas Marschall CEO and President at Precise Biometrics says: "Apple is the thought leader when it comes to mobile ingenuity and it is our strong belief that the rest of the mobile industry now will follow this first step towards making fingerprint biometrics a standard on smart devices. This opens up great potential for our proven algorithm, Precise Match-on-Card and smart case Tactivo".

The new iPhone 5S allows the user to successfully verify a fingerprint from different angles. This is key to a successful user experience. One of the recognized main strengths of the Precise Biometrics' algorithm is its ability to handle such "rotating fingers". This has been proven in test such as MINEX II and Ongoing MINEX by NIST (US National Institute of Standards and technology).

The Touch ID in iPhone 5S will also be used for a payment system for both iTunes and Appstore. This will create a new and strong demand for the same type of solutions on other smart device platforms in segments such as banks and other transaction based business.
