Company Announcements 27[th] February 2008
The Australian Stock Exchange Ltd. Via: e-Lodge Announcement
Alice Springs City - Phase 2 Safe City Surveillance Contract to Zylotech
In a significant further development to our 7/1/08 announcement and the establishment of a clear market-lead in this high-tech, wireless Safe City Surveillance and protection for regional city streets, facilities and parks, Zylotech and their local integrator Central Communications (Alice Springs) Pty Ltd have now won Phase 2 of the Safe City contract from the City of Alice Springs Council.
Mr. Marc Woods, General Manager of Central Comms stated: “The predominantly wireless phase 2 expansion, now takes the City’s Digital surveillance beyond the protection of just the tourist precinct, deeper into far open spaces and facilities for the protection of our citizens and Council property”
Central Comms is a leader in outback ‘remote’ communications with a total commitment to local and remote areas of the Australian continent with solutions and services which are second to none. Concentrating mainly on the installation and maintenance of Satellite Television and Radio Rebroadcast systems, Radio products, Towers and Rigging, Central Comms operates and manages systems from Borroloola to Broken Hill and beyond.
At the forefront of the Safe City solution, Zylotech has adopted its robust digital wireless Smart BRIDGE architecture which is cost effective because it can be deployed instantly, with absolute minimum interference to infrastructure, carparks and traffic as well as totally eliminate any damage to heritage buildings, cobble-stone pavements and parks.

Marc added: “The Council originally selected us and Zylotech because the solution is ‘State-of-the-Art’ and possibly the only Digital system tested to cope with the extreme temperature conditions of the Alice”.
As a further option the Council is considering the use of Zylotech’s Smart GUARD , BullyButton based, audio/visual ‘ Help-Point ’ technology. Upon depression by a distressed child or elderly person, a wireless BullyButton signals its coordinates to the nearby located Smart DOME high-definition moving camera and the system is able to track and capture video evidence to assist authorities with incident investigations.
The on-going sales potential of this fully integrated Safe City solution is significant. Each Council order is worth between $120K and $310K, and Zylotech special sales force now exploits other public area safety market applications such as schools and train stations.
Zylotech is pleased to have its solutions selected for this Safe City long-term program, as it demonstrates once again its cost effectiveness and technical advancement in a vertical market which can be capitalised upon both in Australia and overseas and would result in gaining substantial revenue for Zylotech in the immediate and longer term.
