Appointment of independent non-executive director

PPK Group Limited (ASX: PPK) is pleased to announce the provisional appointment of an independent non-executive director to the Board.

The Company has provisionally appointed Mr Rick Francis to this role, with effect from Monday 2 December 2024, subject to receipt of satisfactory final background checks. Mr Francis will be in attendance at the AGM to be held in Scoresby, Victoria later today.

Mr Francis has 25 years’ experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He was the Managing Director and CEO (and previously Chief Financial Officer) of Spark Infrastructure Group (previously ASX: SKI) for over a decade. At that time, SKI was a S&P/ASX 100 entity that made long-term investments in energy infrastructure assets and renewable electricity generation technologies. During his tenure, he was also a non-executive director of electricity distribution businesses, Victoria Power Networks (comprising CitiPower and Powercor) and SA Power Networks, and was Deputy Chair of TransGrid, the operator of the high-voltage electricity transmission network in NSW and the ACT. Before this, Mr Francis held senior roles at the APA Group (ASX: APA) and Origin Energy (ASX: ORG).

Mr Francis has a Bachelor of Commerce from UNSW and a Masters of Business Administration from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Chartered Accountant.
