Li-S ENERGY APPOINTS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND CEO

PPK Group Limited (ASX Code: PPK) continues with its strategy to expand its technology commercialisation activities and is pleased to announce that Li-S Energy Limited (Li-S Energy) has appointed Ms. Hedy Cray as a Non-Executive Director and Dr. Lee Finniear as the Chief Executive Officer.

Following the recent completion of a $20 million pre-IPO Capital Raise, PPK has retained a 48.5% in Li-S Energy which aims to develop and commercialise a battery technology based on more advanced Lithium Sulphur chemistry using Boron Nitride Nanotubes.

Hedy specialises in industrial and employment law, equal opportunity, and workplace health and safety issues and has been a partner with Clayton Utz since 2005. She has significant private and public sector experience in both litigious and strategic employment and industrial relations matters and is in charge of the Brisbane Workplace Relations Employment and Safety practice.

Hedy also has extensive experience in commercial and corporate strategy, risk management, corporate governance, acquisitions and company restructuring as well as employment, human capital and safety and has worked with multinationals across energy, renewable resources, manufacturing, transport and logistics and the government sector.

Hedy has a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Masters of Laws from Queensland University of Technology.

Lee has more than 25 years’ experience as a senior executive, including 5 years as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of a NASDAQ and ASX listed technology company. Over the past 5 years, Lee has been the founder and director of a company delivering innovative IoT products to business and consumer markets. He was also the Vice President – Asia Pacific for a global telecommunications operator with a market focus on automotive manufacturers and enterprise IoT solutions.

Lee has Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with 1[st] Class Honours and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence & Geographic Information Systems from Loughborough University of Technology
