Press Release PostNL changes composition Executive Committee 24 April 2017

The Hague, the Netherlands – To facilitate the acceleration of its transformation, PostNL will be changing the composition of its Executive Committee (EC) effective 1 July 2017. This ensures that the composition of the EC is more closely aligned with PostNL's changing profile towards that of a logistics e-commerce company.

Both members of the Board of Management will remain members of the modified EC, as will the directors of HR, IT, International & Growth and Parcels & Logistics. New will be the introduction of one director responsible for Netherlands Mail (a director Production and director Commerce currently share this responsibility) and the creation of a new EC position for the Channels & Consumers business unit. This new role will create a more explicit focus on consumers along with more effective omni-channel customer services.

In light of these changes and after consulting closely with the Board of Management, Gerrit Mastenbroek has decided to retire and Albert Rodenboog will be appointed consultant to the Board of Management as per 1 July 2017. We are in discussion with Roger Muys about the termination of his employment. In the new composition of the EC, Resi Becker is the proposed director of Mail in the Netherlands and Liesbeth Kaashoek the proposed director of Parcels & Logistics. Arno van Bijnen will be appointed as director of Channels & Consumers and we intend appointing Bob van Ierland as HR director. Pim Berendsen will remain responsible within the EC for International & Growth and Marcel Krom will remain in charge of IT. The relevant proposed decisions will be submitted to the employee representative bodies.

Den Haag - Ter ondersteuning van de versnelling van de transformatie wijzigt PostNL de samenstelling van zijn Executive Committee (EC) met ingang van 1 juli 2017. Hiermee sluit de samenstelling van de EC beter aan bij de verandering van het profiel van PostNL naar een logistiek e-commercebedrijf.

Beide leden van de Raad van Bestuur blijven lid van de nieuw samengestelde EC, net als de directeuren HR, IT, Internationaal & Groei en Pakketten & Logistiek. Nieuw is de geclusterde verantwoordelijkheid voor Mail Nederland bij één directeur (op dit moment een directeur voor Productie en een voor Commercie) en de nieuwe EC positie voor het bedrijfsonderdeel Kanalen & Consument. Deze nieuwe rol zorgt voor een uitdrukkelijker focus op consumenten en een effectieve 'omnichannel' klantbediening.

In het licht van deze wijzigingen en in goed overleg met de Raad van Bestuur heeft Gerrit Mastenbroek besloten om met pensioen te gaan en Albert Rodenboog zet zijn carrière als adviseur van de Raad van Bestuur per 1 juli 2017. PostNL is met Roger Muys in overleg over de beëindiging van zijn dienstverband. In de nieuw samengestelde EC is Resi Becker beoogd directeur Mail Nederland en Liesbeth Kaashoek beoogd directeur Pakketten & Logistiek. Arno van Bijnen zal worden benoemd als directeur Kanalen & Consument en PostNL is voornemens Bob van Ierland te benoemen als directeur HR. Pim Berendsen blijft binnen de EC verantwoordelijk voor Internationaal & Groei en Marcel Krom voor IT. De relevante voorgenomen besluiten worden voorgelegd aan de medezeggenschap.
