CANDIDATES TO PONSSE PLC'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

PONSSE PLC STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 24 April 2009 AT 9:00 A.M. CANDIDATES TO PONSSE PLC'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS Ponsse Plc's shareholders, who represent more than 50 per cent of the votes of the company's shares, have informed the company that in Ponsse Plc's Annual General Meeting, which will be held on 28 April 2009, they will propose the appointment of the following persons as members of the Board of Directors: Maarit Aarni-Sirviö, Ilkka Kylävainio, Seppo Remes, Ossi Saksman, Einari Vidgrén and Juha Vidgrén. Their period of office will last until the next Annual General Meeting. Of the persons proposed, Ossi Saksman is not previously member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Saksman (born 1951) is a qualified administrative notary. He currently acts as Chairman of the Boards of Directors of Osuuskunta KPY, Savon Energiaholding Oy, Kuopion Puhelin Oy and KPY Sijoitus Oy and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oy Carlson, and is member of the Board of Directors of Enfo Plc, Savon Voima Plc and Kuopio University Foundation. In addition, he is member of the Policy-Holder Advisory Board of Ilmarinen and member of Pohjola's Regional Advisory Board for North Savo. In addition to elected positions, Mr. Saksman acted as the CEO of Oy Carlson in 1991-2008.
