Retirement from the Board

The Board of Polar Capital Global Financials Trust plc confirms that, as indicated in the announcement released on 24 November 2022 confirming the appointment of two new non-executive Directors (NED), having served 9.5 years on the Board, Katrina Hart has completed her tenure and has stepped down as NED to the Company with effect from 1 December 2022.

The Board thanks Katrina for her time spent as NED and Chair of the Management Engagement Committee since inception of the Company.

The Chair commented "Katrina's insight and experience have been invaluable to the Board through the initial launch in 2013, the regular functions of the Company on a continual basis and, more recently, the corporate action to remove the fixed life in favour of five-yearly tender offers. Katrina has been a steady voice on the Board drawing on her wide experience of the broking community and indeed the roles she holds elsewhere. We will miss her dedication, wisdom and attention to detail and wish her well with any future role she undertakes."

This change reflects the next step in the succession plan of the original founding NEDs and thereby transition of the Board of the Company; the final step in the transition will be the retirement of the current Chair, Robert Kyprianou, which is currently intended to be confirmed following the AGM to be held in 2023.
