EUR 58 million for Podravka

PBZ and Erste Bank participate together in financing the market expansion of Podravka

Zagreb, 9 June 2015 – A Contract on short-term club deal was signed today for the total amount of EUR 58 million for Podravka d.d., intended to finance the acquisition of the company Žito d.d., Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The Contract was signed by the representatives of Podravka d.d. as the Loan user, Erste Group AG, Erste&Steiermärkische Bank d.d. and Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. (PBZ) as the leading Underwritten arrangers, Issuer and Loan provider banks and Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. as the Agent and Security Agent.

With the stated acquisition of Žito d.d., Podravka consolidates its position and becomes a market leader in several additional product categories.

PBZ and Erste banks express their satisfaction in joint participation in financing this significant acquisition and market expansion of the leading Croatian food-processing and pharmaceutical company, which is for Podravka a strong step forward towards further internationalization of the business. After this transaction is completed, Podravka will enter the very top of the food industry in Slovenian market.
