Podravka Group business results for the first quarter 2011

Podravka Group net profit for the first quarter 2011 is HRK 25.8 mill. with 2% sales growth comparing to the same period last year.

Podravka Group net profit is HRK 25.8 mill. which is 239% increase comparing to the same period in the year before.

Podravka Group sales profit is HRK 797.1 mil. and has increased by 2% comparing to the same period last year. Sales growth is recorded in both of Podravka's business areas, Food and beverages and Pharmaceuticals.

SBA Food and beverages sales was HRK 636.2 mill which is 2% sales growth compared to the same period the year before.

One must mention that the usual increased sales over Easter period will be a part of the second quarter this year, not the first as it was in the year 2010.

SBA Pharmaceuticals sales was HRK 160.9 mill. and comparing to the same period last year records 3% sales increase.

All the foreign markets realize sales increase and the relative share of the foreign markets in the overall sales structure has increased to 56.8%.

Operating profit has increased by 48% which resulted in significant increase of EBIT to 5.4%.
