PNE Group sells wind farm in Brandenburg to CEE Group**
– 4 wind power turbines with 16.8 MW nominal capacity
– PNE Group will in future act as a service provider in plant management for the CEE Group
Cuxhaven and Hamburg, November 27, 2019 – WKN GmbH, which is a subsidiary of the PNE Group, sold the “Wölsickendorf” wind farm (Brandenburg), which has a total nominal capacity of 16.8 MW, to CEE Group in Hamburg.
The wind farm comprises four modern Vestas V150 turbines with a capacity of 4.2 MW each. The wind farm will be erected by WKN GmbH and handed over on a turnkey basis. The construction stage began in April and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. After commissioning, the PNE Group will be responsible for the technical management of the wind farm.
The “Wölsickendorf” wind farm is CEE Group’s fourth wind farm acquisition from PNE. The acquisition increases CEE Group’s total wind portfolio to 435 MW. CEE is active across Germany, France, Scandinavia, Benelux countries and Iberia.

The asset manager CEE Group, which specialises in investments in renewable energies, is expanding its onshore wind energy portfolio with the acquisition of the wind farm Wölsickendorf in Brandenburg. The Hamburg-based CEE Group now has onshore wind turbines with a total installed capacity of around 435 MW and photovoltaic plants with a capacity of around 315 MWp; total electricity production in 2018 was around 1.1 billion kilowatt hours.
With assets under management of around EUR 1.4 billion, the CEE Group invests in energy generation projects in the wind and solar sectors. The investors of the CEE Group are institutional investors with a long-term interest in investments in renewable energies. The CEE Group was acquired by Brookfield Asset Management in 2017.
