PNE WIND AG receives label as a partner for “Fair Wind Energy”

Cuxhaven, April 19, 2016 – PNE WIND AG received the label “Fair Wind Energy” from the wind energy service unit of Thüringer Energie- und Greentech-Agentur (ThEGA). The label is awarded to companies which voluntarily comply with the guidelines for the fair expansion of wind energy in Thuringia, developed by the Thuringian State Government.

The guidelines include topics such as early involvement of all stakeholders in the environment of a planned wind farm during the entire planning phase as well as transparent handling of project-related information by project planners on site. Companies which receive the “Fair Wind Energy” label shall also ensure fair participation of all parties concerned and local residents, including landowners who have no direct benefits, and shall develop financial investment opportunities for communities, citizens and enterprises.

Staff at the PNE WIND Group have been planning wind farms since 1990. The goal is always to realise the projects in close collaboration with the local authorities, landowners and citizens. The highest standards in terms of quality, transparency and professionality apply.

Markus Lesser, Chief Operating Officer of PNE WIND AG: “We are very pleased to receive this award, since it reflects our mission of ecological responsibility and economic success. Wind energy not only protects the climate, it also offers numerous benefits to the regions in which wind farms are constructed.”
