The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Quarterly figures document a strong growth of total sales and clear improvement of the result in the first half of the year 2001. Compared to the same period in the previous year Plambeck Neue Energien AG (WKN 69 10 32) increased the total sales by 183 percent in the first half of the year 2001 (1 January until 30 June 2001). According to the report for the first half year published on 20 August 2001 the total sales amount to DEM 138.5 m (2000: DEM 48.9 m; 1999: DEM 19.1 m). The result before taxes for this time period is DEM 10.8 m (2000: DEM 0.8 m; 1999: DEM 3.4 m), even though this result is burdened by a planned depreciation of the goodwill of DEM 4.1 m (acc. to IAS) for the Norderland Nature Energy AG which was taken over in the previous year. As a result the EBITDA amounts to DEM 13.8 m compared to DEM 0.3 m in 2000 corresponding thus to the planned company growth. Most of the windpark projects will be realized in the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2001 and will have a positive effect on the total sales and result.
