The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– plenum concludes first strategic partnership – plenum takes over general contractor role – Order volume of approximately EUR 20 million – Strong growth expected for H2 2002 Wiesbaden, June 13, 2002: plenum AG, the provider of integrated IT and communications solutions, has become the strategic partner of ARGE, a joint venture between the eight occupational health and safety agencies for the German construction industry and BG Nahrungsmittel und Gaststätten (Occupational Health and Safety Agency for the Food and Restaurant Industries), and of Phoenics GmbH. As part of this partnership, plenum AG is taking over the role of a general contractor for the production of the Phoenics software. This product covers all of the processes involved in an occupational health and safety agency and is being produced by a team of over 100 developers using the most modern software technology available. With a total order value of approximately EUR 20 million, it is a large innovative IT project in Germany. Additional orders potential exists in fiscal year 2003 not only in relation to the introduction and migration of the systems at the participating occupational health and safety agencies but also in relation to the implementation of “Phoenics-Software” at other forms of social security bodies and their organizations. As the value of the current order will mostly be generated in the second half of 2002, the Managing Board is expecting to see a significant increase in revenues for this period in comparison with the first half of the year. Furthermore, the Managing Board is confident that it will be able to announce another strategic partnership with a large customer during the next few months.
