WITHDRAWAL OF TRANCHE 2 OF PLACEMENT

Rampart Energy Ltd ( Rampart or Company , ASX: RTD) advises that it has withdrawn Tranche 2 of the recent Placement to sophisticated and professional investors (see RTD announcements dated 17 July 2014 and 20 August 2014). Tranche 2 of the Placement has not yet been finalised as it is subject to shareholder approval at tomorrow’s Extraordinary General Meeting ( EGM ). As previously announced, the funds raised under the Placement were to be used directly for the Company’s Alaskan project. The Company had hoped to provide an update regarding the project prior to the EGM, however, it is not in a position to do so and, as a result, the board has determined not to proceed with Tranche 2 of the Placement. Resolutions 2 and 3 as set out in the Notice of Meeting dated 29 August 2014, which relate to Tranche 2 of the Placement will no longer be put to shareholders for approval.
