GRUPPO PIAGGIO: VISITA UFFICIALE DEL PRESIDENTE DELLA REPUBBLICA CECA, PETR PAVEL IN MOTO GUZZI

Mandello del Lario, 29 novembre 2023 – Nel corso della visita ufficiale in Italia, il Presidente della Repubblica Ceca, Petr Pavel, ha incontrato questo pomeriggio il Presidente esecutivo del Gruppo Piaggio, Matteo Colaninno e il CEO del Gruppo Piaggio, Michele Colaninno, presso il sito industriale di Moto Guzzi a Mandello del Lario (LC).

Nel corso della visita, il Presidente Pavel ha voluto provare la Moto Guzzi Stelvio recentemente presentata sul mercato, e ha dichiarato: "L'impressione è ottima perché questa moto rappresenta a pieno le aspettative che si hanno per la sua categoria: è facile da guidare, ha un motore potente e molto fluido. È una moto eccellente per percorrere lunghe distanze, soprattutto su queste montagne."

"Siamo orgogliosi che il Presidente della Repubblica Ceca, Petr Pavel, abbia visitato il sito produttivo e il museo di Moto Guzzi", ha dichiarato il Presidente del Gruppo Piaggio, Matteo Colaninno. "Da oltre 100 anni Moto Guzzi interpreta lo stile del Made in Italy con innovazione e un'alta spinta tecnologica; questo si ritrova non solo nelle nostre moto, ma anche nel sito industriale, al centro di un avveniristico progetto di riqualificazione."

L'area produttiva e il polo museale di Moto Guzzi sono al centro di un importante progetto di riqualificazione conservativa firmato dall'archistar internazionale Greg Lynn, volto a trasformare l'intero sito industriale in un centro di aggregazione della comunità, fondato su cultura, design e meccanica, con una spiccata attitudine green e all'uso efficiente delle risorse.

Tra le personalità presenti alla visita, anche la First Lady Eva Pavlová, il Segretario di Stato della Repubblica Ceca, Radek Rubeš, l'Ambasciatore della Repubblica Ceca a Roma, Jan Kohout, il Prefetto di Lecco, Sergio Pomponio, il Sindaco di Mandello del Lario, Riccardo Fasoli, il Vice Questore di Lecco, Anna Leuci e il Presidente della Provincia di Lecco Alessandra Hofmann.

PIAGGIO GROUP: OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC, PETR PAVEL, TO MOTO GUZZI

Mandello del Lario, 29 November 2023 – During his official visit to Italy, this afternoon the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, met the Executive Chair of the Piaggio Group, Matteo Colaninno, and the CEO of the Piaggio Group, Michele Colaninno, at the Moto Guzzi manufacturing site in Mandello del Lario (Lecco).

During his visit, President Pavel wanted to try out the new Moto Guzzi Stelvio bike and said: "The impression is great because this bike resembles so much what we now expect from these categories of bikes. It is easy to ride, its powerful engine is very smooth, so I think it will be an excellent bike for riding long distances, especially in these mountains."

"We are honoured that the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, has visited the Moto Guzzi production plant and museum," said Piaggio Group Chair Matteo Colaninno. "For more than 100 years, Moto Guzzi has interpreted the style of Made in Italy through innovation and a strong technological focus; this is reflected not only in our motorcycles, but also at the manufacturing facility, which is at the centre of a futuristic redevelopment project."

The Moto Guzzi production plant and museum are the subject of an important restoration and redevelopment project designed by international archistar Greg Lynn, to transform the entire industrial site into a centre for the community, founded on culture, design and mechanics, with a clear green orientation and efficient use of resources.

Other dignitaries on the visit included the First Lady, Eva Pavlová, the Secretary of State of the Czech Republic, Radek Rubeš, the Czech Republic's Ambassador in Rome, Jan Kohout, the Prefect of Lecco, Sergio Pomponio, the Mayor of Mandello del Lario, Riccardo Fasoli, the Chief of the Lecco Police, Anna Leuci, and the President of the Province of Lecco, Alessandra Hofmann.
