GRUPPO PIAGGIO: MICHELE COLANINNO NOMINATO PRESIDENTE DI ACEM, L'ASSOCIAZIONE EUROPEA DELL'INDUSTRIA MOTOCICLISTICA

Bruxelles - Pontedera, 15 giugno 2022 – Michele Colaninno, Chief Executive of global strategy, product, marketing and innovation del Gruppo Piaggio (PIA.MI), fondatore e Presidente della società americana specializzata in robotica Piaggio Fast Forward, è stato nominato Presidente di ACEM (Association des Constructeurs Européens de Motocycles), l'associazione europea dell'industria motociclistica con sede a Bruxelles, cui partecipano oggi tutti i gruppi mondiali di moto e scooter.

"In qualità di nuovo Presidente dell'ACEM, sono molto grato alle altre case motociclistiche per la fiducia accordata al Gruppo Piaggio in questo prestigioso e impegnativo ruolo che svolgerò con il massimo impegno" ha commentato Michele Colaninno. "Lavorerò con tutti i membri dell'Associazione per promuovere le priorità descritte nella Vision 2030+, documento strategico di ACEM che risponde alle future esigenze della mobilità in un mondo che sarà sempre più sostenibile. Nell'ambito di questa Vision, l'industria motociclistica europea continuerà a lavorare per portare sul mercato veicoli innovativi e a basse emissioni di carbonio, per il commuting urbano, il tempo libero e la mobilità in genere".

"Inoltre," ha continuato Michele Colaninno, "nell'ambito della Vision 2030+, intensificheremo il nostro dialogo con le istituzioni dell'Ue e incrementeremo la cooperazione del settore in aree strategiche, come la connettività, la sicurezza e l'elettrificazione".

Classe 1976, Michele Colaninno, oltre ai ruoli ricoperti nel Gruppo Piaggio, è Amministratore Delegato e Direttore Generale del Gruppo Immsi, holding industriale quotata alla Borsa di Milano (IMS.MI), attiva nel settore finanziario, immobiliare e industriale, con un fatturato di oltre 1,7 miliardi di euro.

La nomina di Michele Colaninno alla presidenza di ACEM coincide con il riassetto della struttura dell'Associazione, che ha definito anche tre Vicepresidenti: Stefan Pierer (Amministratore delegato di KTM AG), Markus Schramm (Responsabile di BMW Motorrad) ed Eric de Seynes (Presidente di Yamaha Motor Europe N.V.).

PIAGGIO GROUP: MICHELE COLANINNO APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF ACEM, THE EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF MOTORCYCLE MANUFACTURERS

Brussels - Pontedera, 15 June 2022 – Michele Colaninno, Chief Executive of global strategy, product, marketing and innovation of the Piaggio Group (PIA.MI), founder and Chair of Piaggio Fast Forward, the US company specialising in robotics, has been appointed President of ACEM (Association des Constructeurs Européens de Motocycles), the European motorcycle industry association based in Brussels, to which all the world motorcycle and scooter groups belong.

"As new ACEM President, I am very grateful to the other motorcycle manufacturers for trusting the Piaggio Group in this prestigious and challenging role that I will carry out with the greatest commitment," commented Michele Colaninno. "I look forward to working with all members of the association promoting our priorities described in Vision 2030+, the ACEM's strategy document to respond to future mobility needs in an increasingly sustainable world. In addition to his positions in the Piaggio Group, Michele Colaninno, who was born in 1976, is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Immsi Group, an industrial holding active in the financial, real estate and industrial sectors listed on the Milan Stock Exchange (IMS.MI), with revenues of more than 1.7 billion euro.

Michele Colaninno's appointment to the presidency of ACEM coincides with the restructuring of the association, which has also named three Vice-Presidents: Stefan Pierer (CEO of KTM AG), Markus Schramm (Head of BMW Motorrad) and Eric de Seynes (President of Yamaha Motor Europe N.V.).
