Appointment of General Manager, Retail & Water

PGG Wrightson Limited (PGW) announced today that an internal appointment to the General Manager, Retail and Water role had been made with Nick Berry taking up the position effective from 1 August 2019.

PGW Chief Executive, Stephen Guerin said, “After conducting an extensive search and selection process I am pleased to be in a position to make an internal appointment to the role in Nick Berry. Nick has very capably led our Agritrade business since 2014 and understands our broader business very well. He has an extensive track record of experience at a General Management level having worked in the agribusiness sector prior to joining PGW.”

“In particular, Nick has previously held the position of General Manager in another large agri-retail business and this experience sees him well placed to lead the PGW Retail and Water business. During Nick’s time with PGW he has shown strong leadership, sales, commercial capability and perhaps even more importantly, an affinity with retail and the agri-business sector.”

“Nick will join the executive team and report to me and while he will remain based out of the Waikato his new role will see him spend more of his time in Christchurch while he will also continue to travel extensively across the country given our nationwide Retail and Water operations”, said Stephen Guerin.
