Asslar, May 24, 2016. The Annual General Meeting of Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG is currently taking place in the town hall of Wetzlar, Germany. The event’s attendees are being guided through the agenda by Dr. Michael Oltmanns, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

In his speech, Manfred Bender, CEO of Pfeiffer Vacuum, is set to touch on the business development of the past year. As already disclosed, Pfeiffer Vacuum experienced significant growth in FY 2015 and expects a further positive development in FY 2016.

More interesting to the shareholders is likely to be the CEO’s outlook for the current fiscal year. Bender states: “Order intake in the year to date has been at a similar level as in the previous year. Since some larger projects should materialize in the second half of the year, we expect FY 2016 sales of approximately 470 million euros. This should coincide with an improvement of operating profit (EBIT). We regard this as a conservative assessment which could be influenced by positive project decisions of our customers.”
