REQUEST FOR SUSPENSION OF SHARES ON NSX

African Petroleum Corporation Limited ("African Petroleum") (NSX:

AOQ) requests that a suspension be granted by the National Stock

Exchange of Australia (NSX) with respect to its ordinary shares

effective pre-open on 12 May 2014 until Wednesday 21 May 2014 and

provides the following information in relation to that request:

· African Petroleum seeks a suspension of its shares whilst it

undertakes a roadshow and bookbuilding for a proposed capital

raising as part of its application to list on Oslo Axess, a regulated

market place under the Oslo Stock Exchange (refer NSX

Announcement dated 30 April 2014);

· African Petroleum requests the suspension end on Wednesday 21

May 2014; and

· African Petroleum is not aware of any reason why the suspension

should not be granted.
