Petrobras on collective claim in Argentina

Rio de Janeiro, April 10, 2023 - Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras informs that, for the purposes of presenting its defense, the company has accepted service of process in a collective claim filed against the company before the Commercial and Civil Court of Buenos Aires, in Argentina, by Consumidores Damnificados Asociación Civil (the “Association”).

Among other claims, the Association claims the company’s liability for an alleged loss of market value of Petrobras’ securities traded in Argentina, as a result of allegations raised in the Car Wash Operation and their impacts in the company’s financial statements dated before 2015.

Such collective claim has no immediate financial or economical impacts to the company. Petrobras denies the Associations’ allegations and will defend itself vigorously against the accusations made by the plaintiff in the collective claim.

Material facts will be timely disclosed to the market.
