Petrobras on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index

Rio de Janeiro, December 12, 2022 – Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras informs that it has again as a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World (DJSI World) of S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment.
Petrobras obtained the maximum score in the Environmental Report, Water-related Risks and Social Report criteria. The company also stood out in terms of Operating Eco-efficiency, Labor Practices and Human Rights.
The DJSI World is one of the most important sustainability indexes in the world, which evaluates the best social, environmental and economic management practices. The qualification for the DJSI World for the second consecutive year is a recognition of Petrobras' efforts and initiatives in the environmental, social and governance aspects.
According to the 2023-27 Strategic Plan, Petrobras has six commitments related to the trajectory of reducing the carbon footprint, which will contribute to achieving the ambition to neutralize emissions (scopes 1 and 2) in the activities under the company's control and influence partners to achieve the same ambition in non-operated assets, by 2050*.
In addition to accelerating the decarbonization of its processes and products, the company is committed to always acting ethically and transparently, with safety in its operations and respect for people and the environment, delivering sustainable results for a society in transition.
