ASSET VALUE

The Company notes that the market price of the Company's shares generally does not reflect the asset value per share of the Company. In order to provide investors and shareholders with more information on and to better appraise the Company, the Company proposes to issue monthly announcements, on the first business day of each month, on the unaudited asset value per share of the Company.

As at 13 August 2010 the unaudited asset value of the Company per share based upon the market value of its listed investments (including its investments in listed associates) and its cash and cash equivalents on hand is approximately

HK$0.723

The calculation of unaudited asset value of the Company per share is based on 6,922,127,990 shares in issue as at 13 August 2010.
