Persimmon plc (the "Company") announces that on 8 May it was informed that on that day, Jonathan Davie, Non-Executive Director purchased 10,000 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 1089p. These shares are held in a SIPP.

As a result of this transaction Mr Davie is interested in 20,000 ordinary shares, <0.01% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company. 

The issued ordinary share capital of the Company on 9 May 2013 was 303,839,446 ordinary shares.
