Persimmon plc (the "Company") announces that on 23 April it was informed that on that day, Nicholas Wrigley, Chairman purchased 10,000 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 1069p.

As a result of this transaction Mr Wrigley is interested in 36,000 shares, 0.01% of the issued share capital of the Company.
