Director's Share Transaction

Persimmon plc (the "Company") announces that it has today been informed that Mike Farley, Chief Executive and his wife Janet Farley today each transferred 37,233 ordinary shares in the Company to a family trust for nil consideration. 

In addition, Mrs Farley transferred 91,004 ordinary shares in the Company to a retirement benefit trust for Mike Farley at an average price of 889p.

As a result of this transaction Mr and Mrs Farley are beneficially interested in 1,073,287 shares or 0.4% of the issued share capital of the Company and also have a non-beneficial interest of 74,466 ordinary shares.

The issued share capital of the Company on 28 February 2013 is 302,921,435 ordinary shares.
