CLARIFICATION OF SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDING NOTICE

Perseus Mining Limited has received a number of queries from shareholders and investors in relation to the “Notice of ceasing to a substantial holder” lodged today by Equinox Partners LP, a New York based hedge fund. The Company clarifies that Equinox has NOT been selling any of the shares that it has previously acquired. Its interest has dipped below 5% of the Company’s issued shares simply as a result of the issue of shares by the Company in relation to other placements and share issues from exercise of options.
