APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

Perseus Mining Limited (ASX: PRU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Bohm as a non-executive director.

Mr Bohm is an experienced mining professional with extensive corporate, project and operational management experience in the minerals industry in Australia, SE Asia, Southern Africa, Chile, Canada and the UK. A graduate of the WA School of Mines, Michael has worked as a mining engineer, mine manager, project manager and project director and has been directly involved in a number of project developments in the gold, nickel and diamond sectors.

Michael has sat on the boards of ASX, TSX and AIM-listed companies, including previous directorships at Ashton Mining of Canada (TSX) and Sally Malay Mining Limited (ASX), and is currently the Managing Director of AIM-listed Herencia Resources plc. In addition to his operational and development background, Michael has had direct experience in project financing and capital raising, both in Australia and the UK.

The appointment of Mr Bohm further strengthens the Company’s Board as the Company continues with the development of its mine at Ayanfuri, with production targeted for the third quarter of 2011. As a condition of his appointment, the Company has issued 400,000 free options to Mr Bohm, exercisable at $1.80 each with an expiry date of 31 March 2012.
