TREVOR ALLEN APPOINTED TO PEET BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Peet Limited today announced that Mr Trevor Allen will join its Board as a non-executive director, effective immediately.

“We are delighted that Trevor has accepted our invitation to join the Board. He brings extensive experience in business, corporate finance and capital markets and we look forward to his contribution as a director,” said Chairman, Tony Lennon.

Until his retirement at the end of 2011, Mr Allen was a partner of KPMG and the National Head of KPMG’s Mergers and Acquisitions business. He has thirty years experience in the corporate advisory sector including direct involvement in a number of major transactions and market developments over that time through senior positions at SBC Warburg (now part of UBS), Baring Brothers and KPMG. He is a board adviser to Penrice Soda Holdings Limited and a director and honorary treasurer of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation where he also chairs its Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.

Mr Allen said he is delighted to be joining the Board of Peet, Australia’s largest pure play residential land developer.

“Peet is an important and well respected company in the residential land development industry, a fact that has been recognised by its joint venture partners. I am looking forward to adding to the prudence, discipline and stewardship already shown by the Board and management in steering the company on a measured growth path through rapidly changing markets and consumer sentiment.

In accordance with Peet’s Constitution, Mr Allen will offer himself for election by shareholders at the 2012 Annual General Meeting to be held in November.
