Resignation of Peet Limited Non-executive director
Non-executive director Warwick Hemsley has resigned from the Peet Limited Board to pursue other interests.
As a former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Peet Limited, Mr Hemsley has served as a Director for a total of 26 years.
He was succeeded by the present Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Brendan Gore.
Mr Hemsley remains a major shareholder in Peet Limited, which is a leading national property group.
Chairman Tony Lennon paid tribute to Mr Hemsley’s outstanding contribution to the success of Peet Limited.
“Warwick Hemsley was integral to the growth of Peet Limited from the mid-1980s, and to the prosperity of our shareholders, syndicate investors and the residential communities which we develop,” he said.
“I have the highest regard for Warwick – for his commercial and management skills and for his loyalty and unswervingly high ethical standards.
“His departure creates an opportunity for renewal and to add to the depth and breadth of skills represented on the Peet Board and we have commenced the search for a new independent non-executive director.
“Warwick leaves an enviable legacy of a Company in the leadership of a strong Board and management team and recognised nationally as a leader in its industry.
“I, and my fellow Directors, our Executive and the entire Peet team thank him for his particular contributions to the Company and wish him very well for the future.”
