PEET APPOINTS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Peet Managing Director and CEO. Warwick Hemsley, today announced the appointment of a new position of Chief Operating Officer in the company.
Brendan Gore, currently the Chief Financial Officer of Peet Limited, has taken up the new position, effective immediately.
Commenting on the move. Mr Hemsley said that it was designed to allow the company to cope with the rapid growth that had taken place in the two and a half years since listing, and to continue to facilitate management momentum and drive continued strong growth.
He said the move was a sound one for the company, giving an important senior executive broader experience within the group as well as tying in well with the company's philosophies on succession planning.
"It is my view, and that of the Board, that development of a senior management team with a diverse range of experience allows for internal promotion and is the most appropriate and lower risk approach to succession planning," said Mr Hemsley.
The company now operates in four states of Australia and has signalled sound growth prospects going forward.
"These are exciting times for Peet Limited and this management restructure appropriately consolidates our operations and is a very positive move for the company," said Mr Hemsley.
Scott Grant, the long serving Financial Controller with Peet, will act as CFO whilst the new CFO is determined.
