New Chief Financial Officer appointed to Peet

Peet & Company Limited (ASX: PPC) today announced that it had appointed Mr Brendan Gore to the position of Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Gore has been chief financial officer/company secretary with listed company Mermaid Marine Australia Ltd for the past five years. He is a CPA with 14 years experience in senior corporate and commercial roles

Mr Gore will take up his new role with Peet & Company Ltd on May 16.

"We are delighted to welcome Brendan Gore to the Peet team. His appointment follows the retirement of our company secretary and the move by our former Chief Financial Officer, Dom Scafetta across into this role," said Peet managing director, Warwick Hemsley.

"The role of Chief Financial Officer is vital as our company moves to expand its scope of activities beyond its very successful residential land syndication into funds management," Mr Hemslev said.

"With over 100 years of experience in residential property development and marketing and with 39 major residential projects across WA, VIC, NSW and QLD, Peet is poised to leverage its experience into a wider spectrum of property activities."

Mr Hemsley said that the high calibre of finance and property specialists employed by Peet made an important contribution to the success of projects undertaken by the group.
