Clarification regarding ASX Announcement of 23 June 2021
25 June 2021: Australian pharmaceutical company Althea Group Holdings Limited (ASX: AGH) (‘Althea’ or ‘the Company’) today provides the following clarification with regards to its 23 June 2021 ASX Announcement titled: ‘Althea enters the USD$667m South African cannabis market’ (‘June Announcement’).
Althea notes that sales from the initial shipment of Althea medicinal cannabis products referenced in the June Announcement are not expected to be material to the Company’s sales revenue for this financial year.
As detailed in the ASX Announcement of 3 December 2020 ( December Announcement ), the overall forecasted sales under the initial term of the agreement signed with the Company’s partner Africann (Pty) Ltd (‘Africann’) are expected to be material to sales revenue. The revenue forecast was stated as approximately A$650k over the initial 2.5-year term of the agreement.
The June Announcement was made as a follow-up to the December Announcement to confirm that the export of the initial shipment had taken place in line with Althea’s Q2 2021 estimate.
